Lazlo Moholy-Nagy: His Design For Life

  • Context: This project was developed as part of a university design brief that required the creation of a physical publication responding to the written work of design critic Alice Rawsthorn.

Project Statement

This publication interprets the design philosophy of László Moholy-Nagy through a contemporary editorial format. Drawing on Bauhaus principles of structure, clarity, and experimentation, the publication uses form, shape and typography to create visually disruptive spreads that move the viewer through the piece.

Reflection

First venture into designing publications; throughly enjoyed and tested my understanding of image making, colour theory, and text formatting.
